Come look out our window!

This is what we saw yesterday morning as we woke up and got ready for school.  I know it's not much and if you could hear the drip, drip, drip as it quickly melted, it didn't last long.  But for our kids, coming from Arizona it was pretty exciting.  Kate exclaimed, "It's snowing?!!  (deep, excited intake of breath) It's Christmas today?!!!"  It was really cute, and I felt pretty bad having to tell her that it wasn't Christmas yet--but it's definitely cold enough.

Janet...for some reason my blogger list has not been updating with your new posts! I have already missed a couple posts! Sheesh.

Yay for snow! I used to dread the cold and the snow after I had my first magical and novel winter (coming from AZ...plus our winters sometimes go into the end of May and even June sometimes), but then we went sledding and played in the snow more and I look forward to it now...especially now that Reid can get out and play so I don't have to stay home and miss out.

Kate's reaction is so cute. :)Do you guys get more snow in the middle of winter? I can't wait to hear her reaction when you guys get buried.

THanks for your advice on the table climbing thing. I wish that would work for us but our chair backs are not quite as high and I know that would not deter him. He can move the chairs so he would just move them around enough so he could get on the table anyway. Right now at least the chairs around our kitchen table kind of lock together if I cram them in there tight enough. That is why he has been working on the computer desk more. Really...Owen was active as a baby and I know all kids go through this phase...but at 14 months, moving chairs, carrying stools around to go help at the stove (eek), climbing shelves, I just hope he slows down so I can catch my breath. :) Don't get me wrong. I love this stage and how monumentally thrilling every little thing is for him. It is SO fun... I am just tired and so glad I am not pregnant right now if you know what I mean.

I have not heard of the stinky face books so I will give them a try. Thanks for the tip. Love ya.

It's been so cold here. yesterday it was 29 until about noon. Luckily the sun was out so it wasn't as bad. I don't think I'm ready for snow yet.
