Warning--this is a little gross.
As a parent most of us have been woken up in the night for one reason or another--bad dreams, peed beds, etc. Well last night something happened to me that I had never prepared myself for. Kate came in to tell me that her tummy hur.....blegh! She threw up on my bed! Gross I know! I think the only other time I shot up so awake was when lightening struck so close to our house it tripped the alarm that wasn't even armed.
Needless to say, we cleaned up and moved on. Poor little Kate was so upset-who wouldn't be?
O.k. onto lighter things. Kevin is my absent minded professor. For example He took his coat off and set it on the kitchen counter on top of an open yogurt container. Then pulled it off to take it downstairs and put it away, spreading yogurt everywhere without even realizing it. I came in to find the mess and asked him to go and get his coat. So he runs downstairs literally two minutes after he had just taken it downstairs and he can't find it. I hear him saying, "Where's my coat?! Where's my coat?!" Finally he found it and of course there was yogurt all over it. But then in the next conversation you have with him he will launch into an in depth description about a new invention that he is coming up with. Yesterday we were all in the car and he says, "I think I know of a way to make it so that men can fly. They have to have wings though. I think if you take some bird DNA and mix it into some food then you would grow wings. You'd still have your hands though, too." Where does he come up with this stuff?? :)

Kevin cracks me up. I think absent minded professor describes him perfectly.
I hope Kate feels better. That is pretty gross.
I did that to my mom once. I was sleeping with her and I had thrown up all in her bed in the middle of the night. The only problem was that she didn't know and apparently I didn't either because I just rolled over and fell right back to sleep! Needless to say, my mom had quite the surprise when she woke up!
Thanks for all your comments on my "Creative Block" post. I really appreciate it! I sure miss you!
He's so creative. My youngest brother used to say random stuff like that. With the coat, sounds like JP for sure. They must be related. ;)
Can't believe you haven't been thrown up on yet. Lucky! Well not lucky, but lucky it hasn't happened before.
