Question??

So apparently I can no longer get pictures from my pictures folder.  I don't have that option.  When I try to put a picture into my post it will only let me get pictures that already exist on the blog, picasa web albums, which I don't have, or a URL.  Does anyone know about this?  Do you know how to change it? Do I have too many pictures.

O.k. so I'm totally tired and I don't know if I'm making any sense.  Please let me know if this has happened to you and what you did to "fix" it.

Thank You!!

I think blogger has made some changes. They definitely have if you are using Blogger Draft (which is what I use). When you click on the image icon to add an image a pop up window comes up. You have three options to upload:

1. from this blog
2. from picasa web albums
3. from another location on the web

It automatically chooses #1 for you when it pops up. You should see all of the pictures you have ever uploaded into your blog inside the pop up window. At the top left corner of the picture area there should be a thumbnail with a button that says "upload." Click on this and select an image as per usual. When you have selected an image and pressed okay then the image should show up as a small thumbnail that looks like it has a white slightly opaque layer over it within the pop up window (next to your other uploaded pictures). A download bar will appear beneath it showing you it's progress. Once it has been completely uploaded the white film will disappear and it will have a blue frame around it. You can upload several at a time {or even select an image you have already posted before by pressing CRTL and selecting another picture}. Once all the pictures you want to upload are framed in blue. Press the button at the bottom left that says "Add selected." This will then add your images to your blog. You move them inside your post by clicking and dragging. You can click on each image to make them sm., med., lg. , or x-lg.

Blogger is a product of google and Picasa is as well. As far as I am aware, ALL pictures you have ever uploaded to blogger(which includes title pictures) gets uploaded to Picasa Web albums...even if you delete them from your blog. You do have a picasa web album attached to your blog. I have two blogs to one account. The upload from picasa web albums feature is nice because if I want to use the same pictures on both blogs I can select one I have already uploaded and not waste memory space. You have a limited amount of free space on picasa web albums (which is why I talked about running out of my picture space on my blog a couple of months ago and had to create a new google account - it was that or BUY more storage space).

If you have more questions let me know. I just put together a tutorial in Word with pictures for Karen who is also have trouble with the new set up. If you want that just let me know and I will email it to you.

I switched to a "new" blogger dashboard interface a few weeks ago and LOVE it. Check your settings and see if you can use that too.

It works w/your pictures album.

that's weird. I haven't had any problems, and hopefully I won't. Sorry, and hope you get it fixed so we can still see pictures of your cute kids!

I am glad it worked. Sorry it is loading so slow though. :( Do you use Blogger draft?

I am interested in what your sister said. An interface with blogger?... I looked into it and couldn't find that. I would love to learn more about that.

I am so glad the scones turned out. I tried it with white wheat and the biscuits tasted edible but much heavier and drier. We have a Smith's here which is where I buy the flour. I know that you mentioned that you buy yours at Kroger which is the same as Smith's here. Can you tell me what brand you use? I have also tried freshly ground and it is not the same with my rolls and bread anyway. SHould I add a little more cream and baking soda to my biscuit recipe? I have been meaning to ask you about your wheat bread recipe that you get from your flour bag. You said it was King...something. I can't find a flour here with the word King in it at all here...anywhere. Would you mind sharing the recipe or does it have to be with that flour?
