Tonight was our pack's pinewood derby. Everyone had a great time! This was one of my favorite things--a scotch tape city with hotwheels for the little kids to drive around during the races.
This is the unassuming black pearl. It may not look like much, but wait until you see it in action!

And the winner is....Kevin!! He won 1st place in the Bear Den, 1st place Overall the whole pack, and Best in Show! Way to go Kevin!! Of course we couldn't have been so successful without the help of our incredible friend, Tom Phillips. With his help, direction, and tools Kevin was able to make a great car and some lasting memories! Thanks Tom--We couldn't have done it without you!

Way to go Kevin!!!! We had our derby yesterday too and Nathan took 1st as well. Gotta love those little race cars. Nathan couldn't believe how tall Kevin has gotten. He said to pass on a high 5 from him : )
