Today's Musings

This morning I played Cranium Hullabaloo with Kate and Kenzie.  It really is one of the best games--especially for little ones.  Kate and I mostly played, while Kenzie walked around in only her diaper trying to pick up the different game pads.  If we jumped, or galloped then she would follow along.  We had a great time and will probably get this game out again tomorrow. (The reason she was only in a diaper was because she is in love with being a ballerina and her favorite purple ballerina outfit was in the wash.  She refused to wear anything else!  I checked out "Lili at Ballet," from the library yesterday and she carries it around oohing and aahing over every page.)

I found out today that my sweet hubby has been leaving annonymous posts to make me feel good that more people are reading my blog.  I appreciate what he's trying to do, but I'm not sure how I feel about it now.

I applied for a full-time teacher assistant job with the school district today.  I'm excited and nervous about it all at the same time.  Yes, it means that Kenzie will be taken care of by someone else during the hours I'm at work, (the 188 days I will be working).  That part is hard for me.  However, we find ourselves at a certain crossroads where we need to make a change if we want to progress.  I'm hoping to use this experience to facilitate an eventual teaching certificate that will be completed approximately by the end of the 2010-2011 school year.  It feels like the right thing to do.  But it also feels like a huge leap of faith.  I don't know.  We'll see what happens.
